Welcome to Arts Of Wire Marine Life and Fish gallery.

Many people kept asking our chief artist, Capt. Tim, “when are you going to make a fish?” Well, the wait is finally over. By request of a local Fort Pierce, FL restauranteur, Capt. Tim has created his first fish out of crab trap wire, a Snook. This piece took three times longer to make than the average art seen on this site. It took more planning and was much more challenging to construct. We hope you like it and the other species contained in this diverse gallery.

The Snook model is 58 inches long and is made to be displayed on a wall. Most of the fish art can also be hung from the ceiling. In this case, a second pectoral fin is added. There are limitations to where the power cord can be attached, but It may be possible to have the power cord coming from the top of the fish.

The second fish species created, a Golden dolphin(Mahi Mahi, is 64 inches long and has four different colors of LED lights. These are the only sizes available for now. The size of the works are determined by the length of LED light strips used. Of course, fish can be made without lights in a wider variety of sizes. This is one category where bigger is better.

These fish are made with the same high quality materials as the rest of Arts Of Wires products. The eyes are high quality eyes that are used in the taxidermy industry. The LED strip lights are IP-44 rated.

For those of you who know Capt. Tim, you know he has a long history in the fishing industry and working with fish. From starting a taxidermy business in high school, studying fish in college, to capturing underwater fish photos for magazines, it comes as no surprise that this sector of the art business brings him great satisfaction.
